While CARS receives funding from the government for its core services, we offer many additional services to help people remain independent, participate in the community, and achieve their goals.
These programs rely on funds raised from donations, corporate sponsorship and our own
We gratefully accept donations and sponsorship from anyone who’s interested in supporting CARS, including individuals and organisations.
If you’re a community-minded organisation and would like to support CARS, we’ll happily place your logo on our website, add you to our monthly newsletter, or discuss other options with you, such as placing your logo on our mini-bus or staff uniforms.
Donations go toward:
CARS social Hub
$2,500 per year
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we provide a place for adults wth disability to socialise, learn life skills and have fun.
There’s fitness activities such as walking, yoga and golf; music and drama, cooking, woodworking and group outings. We also offer help with using computers, budgeting, and other important life skills.
CARS transport service
$4,000 per year
We have a Toyota Hiace bus with two wheelchair fittings and several cars we use to drive clients to appointments and social events. All vehicles are driven by volunteers.
We need to raise funds to cover registration and maintenance costs for these vehicles so we can continue to offer this service.
Kids' vacation care program
$6,500 per year
Every July, we run a school holiday activity program for children with disability that includes outings and social activities and the kids (and parents) love it!
We don’t receive any funding for this so rely completely on donations to make it happen.
$15,000 per year
We make sure that our support workers are fully trained and qualified to provide the very best care to our clients.
This means we need to run many training sessions throughout the year, including manual handling safety, administering medication, first aid and behavioural training.
$4,200 per year
When our clients have emergencies outside of their regular hours, we help them with overnight, weekend and after hours support.
We don’t receive government funding for this service.
Summer kids' vacation program
$2,500 per year
While these programs receive government funding for staff and premises, we need to raise funds for transport and entrance fees to activities such as Australia Zoo and Sea World, as well as additional premises for special activities.
