Santa with boy at holiday program

Can You Donate a Christmas Gift for a Local Child Living with Disability?

Kids! Be You, 0ur much-loved Summer Holiday program for kids aged 5-18 living with disability, will be happening from 11 December 2017 through to 13  January 2018. And a favourite part of that program – for kids and support workers alike – is a visit from Santa Claus and a special Christmas gift for each child.

We’re seeking donations of gifts that are suitable for children with special needs. Broadly, this means that we’re looking for new, quality gifts that might be educational or tactile, and don’t present a choking hazard.

You can find some great ideas in this blog post:

Dr Anthony Lynham, State Member for Stafford, as an ongoing supporter of CARS, has kindly offered his office as a drop-off point for donations.

Donation drop points are:
  • The office of Dr Anthony Lynham: Unit 207, 6 Babarra Street, Stafford
  • CARS office: 1/20 Valente Close, Chermside

Please drop your donations into either location by Thursday 14 December. The gifts will be given out to the  Kids! Be You program participants by our very own Santa Claus. Stay tuned as we share the pictures of joy on Facebook and the website.

Thanks in advance for your support. We and the kids really do appreciate it!
